Many times people ask themselves if there’s any difference between regular running shoes and shoes designed specifically for trails. Well, though it is true that these differences are less crucial if you are not a pro and you only plan to step out to the park once in a while, there are some important features in off-road shoes worth to consider to keep you out of potential serious injures: shock absorbency, durability, greater traction on slippery terrain, etc. All of these are covered on this post, as well as some suggestions on reasonably priced shoes that you can use as starting point for your first/next trail shoes purchase.
