A couple of interesting posts for those of you who have in mind organizing a race. They both talk about general aspects to consider beyond the ‘oh it’s going to be a tough 10k trail race’, therefore can be applied to any type of outdoor race. On the first post, Scott Mansker summarizes his experiences from running two Missouri River 340 paddling races in 3 tips for race organizers:keep it simple, be true to your concept and get help. The second one focuses on developing a timeline and a checklist for the event, pointing some of the basic items that the organizer should cover to deliver a good race.
