Post-race recovery planning

I agree with the author of this post in that so much time is spent in planning and preparing a competition that the “˜day after’ is sometimes completely ignored. He gives some recommendations to, instead of just collapsing in a heap, speed up the recovery on the days and weeks following the competition and getting ready for the next one. Some tips he suggest: keep mobile, eat and drink appropriately, follow a stretch routine or get your mind back to work. He focuses on multi-sport competition but it’s mostly applicable to any endurance demanding activity.
