Salomon Speedcross 2
The Gear Junkie: Stephen Regenold has dedicated a full post on reviewing several trail running shoes suited for snowy and icy winters. From all of them, the Salomon Speedcross 2 were the most impressive, with the winter contagrip technology working great on grabbing icy ground.La Sportiva Ultranord GTX-XCR and Vasque Aether Tech were his other tested products, being the latter a middle ground shoe between the other two models balancing speed and support and the former the best shoe for snow, as they come with ankle gaiters.

Salomon XT WingsSalomon XT Wings: good review for these shoes from Salomon, praised as “perfect balance of comfort, smooth ride, cushioning, traction and support”. Check out also this video review from youtube.

Keen OchocoKeen Ochoco: First impressions on these shoes by a runner who tested them under rain conditions. After the author, the shoes seem to respond pretty good, gripping on the downhills, stable and made up on very good waterproof fabric (though the drainage wasn’t great)
