Following the post about post-race recovery planning, a bunch of useful comments to evaluate your race results from another ultra runner/blogger. The author does an analysis of what went right and what didn’t about his participation at the Holiday Lake 50k++ race in what can be a useful example list of what to check once the race is finished and you are back at home recovering. Reviewing the pre-race preparation (enough training? adequate training?), the mental notes and decisions taken during the race (was the pace appropriate at all times? adequate eating/drinking? the gear met the expectations?) are some of the suggestions to include on the list. A list that will allow you to dissection the race and give you the data you need to do it better next time.
