Site News: World Map Calendar on your Website

Adding a new feature to the site. The world map calendar page with trail running races and events can be now placed on any website or blog! I have set up a script that can be customized and then copied and pasted into any web page or blog post. These are the options available to modify:

• Size: width and height of the map. Not recommended to be too small as pop up descriptions will not fit in the area.
• Coordinates: latitude and longitude where you want the map to be centered. Just play with the default values



• Zoom: world, country, region or even city. Zoom as much as you need
• Language: language of the map descriptions (not the info on each race)
• Layer: standard googlemaps layers. That is street map, satelite and terrain.

The script creates basic HTML and javascript code so it should work pretty much everywhere. But if not, just drop me a comment. Ah, and the map is under a creative commons license, so you can use and modify the script as much as you want as long as you keep the original author and is not utilized for commercial purposes.
