Runner’s Knees Are Save

June 25, 2008 · Filed Under Health & Nutrition

Good news for my punished knees! A recent study by German researchers concluded long-distance running does not increase the possibility of suffering arthritis. Scientists compared knee MRI results performed within a 10 year period and the conclusion was that running did not create long-term damage to their knee joints, regardless of pre-existing damage on one of the participants. The study was performed over a small group of 7 marathon runners.
