21 women and 62 men, varying in age from 27 to 66 years old, lined-up today at the start line of the Death Valley’s most famous ultra marathon. They will run 135 miles under the hottest conditions to finish the ‘the world’s toughest foot race’. Below some of the best links on this year’s race to not miss any detail:

[Update 07/16/08]: Jorge Pacheco won the race with a time of 23:20:16 – the second fastest in race history- while Jamie Donaldson broke the women’s course record, winning in a time of 26:51:33. Check out the complete results of Badwater 2008
