Karl Meltzer Appalachian Trail
On August 5, Karl Meltzer set off on the biggest challenge of hid life. He will attempt to break the Appalachian Trail speed record and run 2,174 miles in less than 47 days. That means he’ll have to average 45 miles per day, for 47 straight days. Definitely a daunting challenge! Karl and La Sportiva, his main sponsor, will be available on a live on-line chat on July 29, between 4-5 pm MST, to answer any questions the ultra running community may have on his upcoming attempt. The chat will take place at adventurerunningblog.com and once he is out on the trails, you can follow him at whereskarl.com, as the challenge will be tracked using the SPOT Sarellite Messenger.

This was awesome. Thanks for finding this and posting it. It was cool to sit there and ask questions to Karl and have him answer in real time. We are involved in an awesome sport where the big boys still talk to the newbies. Yeah, I was at work too. I call it working on my multi-tasking skills. My boss says I need to work on that, so I did. LOL

Got something to say?
