It’s not that they have made a research themselves, but instead they just put together the latest recommendations from Trail Runner’s Magazine, Runner’s World, Outside Magazine, Running Times and others. So they write about the Vasque Aether Tech, the Brooks Cascadia 3, the The North Face Rucky Chucky and many others. They also top the report with a list of recommendations useful to keep in mind when you’re heading to the store for your next pair of shoes. The article doesn’t contribute with anything new, but does a good job as a recap of many reviews and a starting point where to get some shoe names in your mind before you go out there trail shoe hunting.
