Excellent idea coming out from the ultra blogosphere, and specifically from Craig Thornley and a group of 5 ultrabloggers. The idea is to simultaneously publish posts on their respective blogs discussing different topics on the 2009 Western States 100. Aside from Thornley, these bloggers are: Andy Jones-Wilkins, Sean Meissner, Scott Dunlap and Bryon Powell. For this first round of writings, they make several suggestions and request to the Western States Endurance Run Foundation Board of Trustees:
- Craig Thornley, on the WS Board requirement for mandatory “volunteer” hours
- Andy Jones-Wilkins, letter to the WS Board suggesting ten course changes.
- Bryon Powell asks for accountability and transparency
- Scott Dunlap interviews John Trent, from the WS Board of Trustees
- Sean Meissner on why Scott Jurek should be in the race
The five bloggers will be synchroblogging through the months leading up to the race day. If you’re into the WS100, you can’t miss them!
