Central Oregon Ultra Runners

Undoubtely Oregon is one of the hot spots for ultrarunning, and more specifically the Bend area. Max King or Kami Semick are two of the large number of ultra runners you may come across training on the surrounding trails. A few of them were featured in an on-line article of the Bend Bulletin (on the printed edition too?) about ultra runners of the Central Oregon.
After the susual reference to Forrest Gump (ugh!), Kami Semick herself, Rod Bien, Jeff Browning, and Sean Meissner share a bit of their lifes as trail and ultra runners. Whereas Semick is a professional athlete of The North Face, others try to balance their day jobs with their long runs (and great race performances), like Meissner or Bien who work at and own a Fleet Feet store.
