   Hi, I love your aerial footage of the trail runner in Albion Basin. I’m working on a documentary about running and am trying to find the right device for getting aerial shots (similar to yours), would you mind sharing the type/brand of aerial device you used to get your footage?

   Amelia, I actually would like to know that too! I didn’t shoot that video so I can just guess they used a radio controlled plane or helicopter with a mounted cam. Go to their vimeo site and just ask them directly. Let me know if you find out!

   Hi Ed – Thanks for your reply, and I apologize for my delay. I did some research on how the aerial footage of the runner in this video was shot, and you are exactly right. Here’s a link to a behind the scenes video on Piton Productions vimeo site showing how it’s done:

   I imagine shooting such footage would require quite a bit of practice to get this kind of footage. It’s cool stuff for sure. Best, Amelia
