Podcast – Western States 100
Gill and Francesca, owners of Bad to the Bone Endurance Sports and Charlottesville Running Company, are two active runners who host the radio show “Get Moving Charlottesville” on 106.1 “The Corner”. This upcoming weekend they will be participating in the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run, and they have dedicated a portion of their weekly radio show to the race.

WS 100 has been officially canceled due to extensive wildfires that have struck northern California in recent days and the health risks these pose to the runners. On top of this, there are some further implications for participants on the 2008 Montrail Ultra Cup still to be resolved.

The Western States 100 organization posted a few 2008 pre-race podcasts that I missed. I just stumbled upon them on youtube and I think it's a good insight on the race and the runners interviewed. I guess they intended to record more audio on the post-race but the cancellation of the event likely threw overboard [...]
