Salomon recently introduced their new ‘Custom System’ for all their backpacks in the XT and XA series. This new system allows the user to customize the bag’s features using the addition (or semoval) of different accessories. This will give the runner the possibility of customizing based on the caracteristics of each race or event.
More are to come, but the accessories already available on salomonrunning.com are the following:
Custom Front Pocket, a 5L front pocket with different compartments which easily attaches to a bag providing additional volume and space.

Custom Bottle Holder, to carry a 3D bottle when extra hydration is needed which can be attached to the shoulders or the belt of the pack.

Custom Flask Holder, which adds an extra 200ml flask for extra hydration.

Custom Zipped Pocket, a zipped pocket easily adds to a bag or waist belt giving more volume for carrying those extra essentials.

Ever since Adidas ventures with Salomon, the products kept getting better and better. The idea of customization suits perfectly the individual needs of todays demanding customers.
I bought the XA 20 backpack for marathon des sables… but it is impossible to get any of the custom addons anywhere in the USA, and Salomon Customer service is inexistant. If anyone knows where I can get the custom bottles id appreciate it. It’s sad that such good products have such bad customer service and terrible supply for their distributors.
