The 9th annual Rock/Creek StumpJump 50k and 11 mile trail race took place the first weekend of October in 2010. Beautiful blue skies greeted the 600+ racers on Signal Mountain, outside of Chattanooga, TN. Trail runners from all over the country came in to test themselves on what Trail Runner Magazine called “the East’s legendary meat grinder.”
Taking place on the Cumberland Trail on Signal Mountain and in Prentice Cooper WMA, the popular ultramarathon drew top talent and beginners alike.
Rock/Creek hosted a vendor fair and carbo supper on Friday night before the race, as part of an inaugural week-long outdoor festival called RiverRocks Chattanooga.
